Game Weighting
The percentage of a wager on a specific game category that contributes towards fulfilling a bonus's Wagering Requirements.
Game Weighting (or game contribution) is a critical component of bonus T&Cs. It dictates that bets on different games contribute unequally towards clearing a bonus. The logic is based on managing the casino’s risk against a game’s House Edge.
A typical contribution table might be:
– Slots: 100%
– Table Games (Roulette, etc.): 10-20%
– Blackjack & Video Poker: 0-10%
This means a £1 bet on a slot counts as £1 towards wagering, but a £1 bet on Blackjack might only count as £0.05. This prevents players from easily clearing bonuses on low-edge games.
Formulas and examples
Effective Wager Calculation:
Required Wager = (Bonus Amount × Multiplier) / (Game Weighting %)
Example: £100 bonus with 35x wager played on Blackjack (5% weighting):
Effective Wager = (£100 × 35) / 0.05 = £70,000
