Gamble Feature
An optional, post-win feature in some slot games that allows a player to risk their winnings for a chance to double them (or more).
The Gamble Feature, often called “Double or Nothing” or “Risk,” is a high-risk, high-reward mini-game offered after a winning spin. Typically, it presents the player with a simple 50/50 choice, such as guessing the colour of a face-down card (red or black).
A correct guess doubles the win, and the player may be offered the chance to gamble again. An incorrect guess results in the loss of the entire original win. While it can be tempting, from a purely mathematical perspective, the gamble feature has a neutral Expected Value (EV) at best and does not improve a player’s long-term returns. It is a feature of pure, high-variance chance.
