# Sweeps Coins vs Gold Coins: two balances, different rules

Separate entertainment credits from promotional entries and from money actually received.

## Start with the operator’s definitions

Names differ by operator. Gold Coins commonly describe entertainment-only virtual credits. Promotional entries may be called Sweeps Coins, Stake Cash or another name. Do not infer a cash value from the name of a balance.

## A balance is not a bank deposit

Redemption can depend on identity checks, eligible location, play conditions, minimums and payment-method rules. Keep purchased packages, promotional balances, redemption requests and payments received as separate records.
