# The slot name that isn’t a unique ID.

An attractive cover and a familiar title are useful discovery signals. Provider, edition and provenance are what make a game record unambiguous.

## Why a title-only lookup can fail

Different providers can use the same short title, while one provider may release sequels and special editions under related names. A title-only lookup can return a record belonging to another edition. Importing a return figure, a demo link or a paytable through that ambiguous match would create the appearance of precision without identifying the right game.

## What changed in this library release

The existing Casimo source library contained 4,633 rows and 242 repeated URL-slug values. The entity import resolves title-and-provider identities, separates slug collisions and quarantines malformed or unrecognized labels. This release publishes 4,482 game entities under 144 provider hubs, with their existing CDN covers retained. Those counts describe this release checkpoint, not a claim that every title has a current US operator listing.

## A cover is not a configuration certificate

The artwork helps a reader recognize a game. It does not prove the installed RTP, the active paytable or current availability inside a casino. Provider-source passports and historical library references therefore carry separate labels. A newer provider capture can add evidence without quietly rewriting the archived reference as if it had always been a verified configuration.

## Follow more than one connection

The library offers provider, mechanic, theme and alphabetical hubs. Mechanic Match connects shared catalog tags, not supposedly identical odds. A game record links back to its provider and connected subjects so neither a reader nor a crawler has to rely on a single search result or a hidden client-side filter to discover the entity.

## Editorial perspectives
- The Game Desk: Exact identity comes before a convincing-looking number.
- The Rules Desk: Library provenance and operator availability should stay attached to different claims.
- The Payments Desk: A game’s title or return figure does not establish a cashout route.

These are labeled editorial roles; reader replies have a separate provenance.
